What we collect
LoveLives asks for no email, no phone number, no real name and no password. The first time you open the app an anonymous account is created: a random identifier stored on your phone that is not tied to any identity.
What is stored on the server is what you write inside the app:
- the name you choose for your partner to see (by default, “Player” and four letters);
- the wishes you both create: title, description and category;
- the activities you log, the hearts and the minigame results;
- a record of those actions, so the app can undo and audit changes.
Only the two people in the couple can read any of it. It is protected in the database by row-level rules: nobody else, not even another couple using the app, can query it.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not collect location.
- We do not collect contacts, photos or files from your phone.
- There is no third-party analytics and no cross-app tracking.
- We do not sell or share data with anyone.
Ads
The app shows ads: a fixed banner at the bottom of the screens and, sometimes, a full-screen ad after a few games in a row of a minigame, or when you want to add a wish or a detail beyond the normal quota (watching the ad opens room for one more).
They are served by Google AdMob and they are non-personalized: we don't use your activity, inside or outside the app, to choose which ad you see. AdMob accesses the device's advertising identifier to serve ads and prevent fraud; that's the network doing it, not LoveLives, and we don't cross it with anything we store ourselves.
The camera
The app asks for camera permission only to read the QR code that pairs two phones. The image is not stored, is not sent anywhere and never leaves the phone: it is discarded as soon as the code is read. If you would rather not grant the permission, pairing also works by typing the code by hand.
Where it is stored
The data lives in Supabase, which acts as the hosting provider and does not use it for anything else. The connection is encrypted (HTTPS). On the phone, the session is kept in the system's secure storage (Android Keystore).
How long
For as long as you use the app. To delete your data, write to ilurostudios@gmail.com telling us the name you use inside the app and roughly when you started using it, so the account can be found: deleting it cascades to everything you created. You can also undo the pairing from within the app.
Children
LoveLives is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above is updated and you are told inside the app before the change affects data that is already stored.
