The Star Trek set releases 13 November 2026 and it’s well spoiled already: 91 distinct cards of the 135 announced. They’re all there, with images, in the set gallery.
Everything below comes from Scryfall, which only lists officially revealed cards.
The big one: all ten shocklands are back
The ten shocklands are reprinted in the set. They join Standard on 13 November and stay until 2029, since they don’t rotate with Nauctis in February.
| Hallowed Fountain {W}{U} | Watery Grave {U}{B} | Blood Crypt {B}{R} |
| Stomping Ground {R}{G} | Temple Garden {G}{W} | Godless Shrine {W}{B} |
| Overgrown Tomb {B}{G} | Steam Vents {U}{R} | Sacred Foundry {R}{W} |
| Breeding Pool {G}{U} |
They enter untapped if you pay 2 life. It’s the best mana fixing Standard has had in years: three-colour decks stop being a wish and start being playable. If you’re buying cards for next year, buy these — and the reprint will push prices down, so don’t rush on 13 November.
That’s 16 reprints in total: the ten lands, five basics with new art, and Reckless Impulse.
Federation against the Borg
The set pits the two factions against each other with different rules.
Federation is an ability word that counts creature types among your non-Borg creatures: it rewards a varied board. Hoshi Sato, Exolinguist ({4}{U}) looks at X cards and keeps one; Saavik, Stoic Student ({4}{W}) deals X damage to an attacking or blocking creature, at flash speed.
Borg does the opposite: black artifact creatures that pile up and pump each other. Collective Drone ({1}{B}) has power equal to your artifact creatures, Assault Drone ({3}{B}) gives them all +1/+0, and Hive Mind Coprocessor ({4}{B}) lets each one draw a card on combat damage for 1 life.
Mechanics
Station returns from Edge of Eternities: tap a creature to put charge counters on a Spacecraft. The only one revealed is the U.S.S. Enterprise-D, Galaxy-Class ({3}, legendary artifact — Spacecraft): the first time it gets counters each turn, exile the top card of your library and you may play it that turn.
Face a dilemma is the new keyword, and it’s simpler than it sounds: you face a dilemma whenever you choose one or more modes for a spell or ability. So far only Seven of Nine ({2}{U}{B}) rewards it, drawing a card each time it happens.
The headline cards
| Card | Cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Captain James T. Kirk | {2}{R} | Modal on enter and attack; with an empty hand you pick several modes |
| Captain Kathryn Janeway | {3}{G} | Extra land per turn, and your creatures explore as they enter |
| Dr. Beverly Crusher | {2}{W} | Doubles your lifegain triggers |
| Crystalline Entity | {8} | Mythic: flying, and if you cast it, destroy all non-artifact creatures |
| U.S.S. Enterprise-D | {3} | The ship, with Station |
| The City on the Edge of Forever | {3}{W}{B} | Saga whose chapter I phases out every artifact and creature |
There are only four mythics among the reveals: Kirk, Janeway, Crusher and Crystalline Entity. The rest is 50 commons, 23 uncommons and 14 rares — ten of which are the lands.
Plus three Sagas, which this set uses to tell specific episodes: Amok Time, In the Pale Moonlight and The City on the Edge of Forever.
What it means for Standard
It joins on 13 November and pushes nobody out: the next rotation is February 2027. The list of legal sets, with dates, is in Standard-legal sets; before this one comes Reality Fracture, on 2 October.
The usual warning: if a Commander product with a similar name ships the same day, its cards aren’t Standard legal. It happened with The Hobbit. Check the specific card on Scryfall before buying.
What’s still unknown
- The 44 cards still missing. With only 4 mythics revealed, the bombs are yet to come.
- Whether Face a dilemma shows up on more than one card or stays a nod.
- How many Station Spacecraft there are besides the Enterprise.
The set gallery updates itself as Wizards reveals more cards.
And if you’re going shopping for shocklands, MagicNexus has a board for physical cards: find by GPS who near you has the one you’re missing and trade for it, no postage.

When does Standard rotate in 2026?
Short answer: there is no rotation in 2026. Wizards is moving it to the first set of the calendar year, so the next one is in 2027 and six sets leave at once.
